Clore - the cheapest on the market
See my Getting Started with Clore guide to renting the cheapest GPU on the market.
Provider website: Clore.ai
Pros
- Simple UI.
- Crypto payments ($BTC and $CLORE).
- Despite already low prices, it’s easy to reduce the rental costs further by catching the price dips on their native token, $CLORE.
Cons
- Short rental periods of 1-5 days for the majority of machines.
- API bugs that haven’t been resolved for weeks.
- There is no support, for real 😆. When I started, I had a few questions about the balance update and API-related questions — I sent them through the live chat and haven’t received a response until now.
It’s worth mentioning that Clore.ai has a much more limited selection of GPUs than Vast.ai and Runpod.io, but most of the time, you probably don’t need anything higher than RTX 4090, so I can’t consider it a disadvantage.
Cheap AF
This platform’s main (and only 😆) advantage is its prices. This is probably the biggest argument for us miners, so let’s see what it offers.
At the time of this writing, 1 $CLORE = $0.15, which translates to $2.25/day or $0.094/hr for an RTX 4090. Can someone beat these prices?
$CLORE deposits take 3-4 hours, so you want to make sure you always have sufficient balance and top up in advance. My preferred exchanges are Binance and ByBit, but they don’t have $clore listed, so I signed up at Gate.io to buy $CLORE (and it took over a day to withdraw $clore due to a security check on a new account 😬).
To show I put my money where my mouth is, here are the screenshots from my Clore.ai and Gate.ioaccounts. I still have some $CLORE in my account, so I’m not in a rush to buy more, hence the low dip-catching orders.
